Danny Purcell - Worthy Grand Knight of St. Regis Council

Grand Knight’s Message

Dear Brother Knights,

December has been a very busy month. On December 6th, we had the annual Creche lighting here at St. Regis. Even with the rain, we had a good amount of people come to sing and we enjoyed a repast afterwards. Thank you to all the Columbiette ladies who made cakes, and goodies for the dessert.

I had the pleasure of attending all three Christmas parties. It was nice to see the St. Regis family celebrating the Christmas season together. I would like to thank Maureen Ennis who chaired the afternoon party, Joe and Anne DiNero for hosting the evening party and Marguerite and the Squirettes for bringing joy to all the children at the breakfast with Santa. Thank you to all who volunteertheir help with making the parties a great success.

I would like to thank Mark Johnson Sr. for running a very successful food drive. Even though it was below freezing temperatures Mark and his volunteers did an amazing job. You made a great deal of people very happy this holiday season. All food will go to the St. Joseph Outreach to help all those in need.

January is going to be a busy month. Please look at your calendars for all details for the Columbiette Communion Breakfast, Free Throw Championship, Squires Dinner Dance, Christmas Mass at the Council, Right to Life March, Italian Night and last but not least Memorial Mass.

Joyce and I wish all of our members, families and friends a very happy New Year!
